Wednesday's weather is a mixed bag with sun and clouds

Fog packs its bags and clouds pop in.

Newsroom

A shy little low-pressure system is tiptoeing through the area, trying not to make a fuss.

Today: Once the stubborn morning fog finally decides to leave, the sun will take center stage. Clouds might crash the party around midday and in the afternoon, bringing the occasional mountain shower or a sprinkle inland and in the southeast. Winds will start off whispering from the southwest to northwest at a gentle 3 Beaufort, then muster a bit of courage to 3–4 Beaufort. The sea will mostly mind its own business. Temperatures will flirt with 23°C inland and along the western and northern coasts, nudge 24°C elsewhere, and dip to a crisp 11°C up in the mountains.

Tonight: Clouds might get a bit cheeky again, possibly dribbling some showers or a cheeky thunderclap along the eastern and northern coasts. Winds will stick to a polite northwesterly to northeasterly, keeping it easy at up to 3 Beaufort. The sea will stay mostly well-behaved.

Thursday: Expect clouds to pop in for a brief cameo, maybe leaving behind a teasing shower or two.

Friday: The sky’s feeling fancy and will flaunt some medium and high clouds.

Saturday: Things get a little more lively with local showers and the occasional thunderous drumroll, mostly from late afternoon onward.

Temperatures are feeling ambitious and will slowly climb, staying cheekily above the usual numbers until Saturday.
