Improvement works on the Agios Dometios crossing are set to commence on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, and are expected to continue until May 21, 2025.
According to an announcement from the Department of Public Works, the project will involve the opening of a third control lane leading to the occupied areas, as well as the construction of an additional checkpoint for traffic coming from the occupied areas.
The announcement further states that the works will include upgrading the facilities of various services, improving housing and sanitary facilities, and constructing additional footpaths.
The project is anticipated to last four months, with the contractual completion date scheduled for May 21, 2025.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience caused and urges the public to show understanding and comply with temporary road signs and instructions provided by the Police Department.
