The Deputy Ministry notes that prices for agrotourism accommodation options are mostly the same as last year, and in some cases, they are even lower than prices during the summer and winter holiday seasons. They also pointed out that there are agrotourism accommodation options available for any budget, starting from 60 euros for two people per night.
The Easter holiday season typically sees Cypriot bookings for 3-4 days, with the Troodos mountains being the most popular destination. However, bookings by visitors from abroad appear to be the same as the usual average. Tourists from abroad tend to book agrotourism accommodation for 3-7 days and choose to book different accommodations in 2 or 3 districts to explore the island.
The increase in bookings for countryside accommodation during the Easter holiday season is a positive sign for the tourism industry in Cyprus, which has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
