Applications for company registrations in Cyprus for February 2018 rose by 25.5% year on year, on the back of a 13% increase in applications in January.
According to data released by the Department of Registrar of Companies, applications for the registration of companies reached 1,207 in February 2018 compared with 962 in February last year.
Compared with January of 2018 applications rose marginally by 0.75%.
In the first two months of 2018 registrations for new companies reached to 2,405 compared with 2,025 in the respective period of 2017, marking an increase of 19%.
Applications for business names jumped by an annual 33% in February 2018 reaching 2,720 compared with 2,042 in February last year.
Applications for company name approval in the first two months of 2018 rose by 26% reaching 5,132 compared with 4.026 in the respective period of 2017.
