The Council of Ministers has approved amendments to regulations, including bans and warning labels on heated smoking products with flavored substances, according to Health Minister Poppy Kanari, in a move to align national legislation with European directives.
These changes, as explained by Kanari after the Cabinet meeting, extend the ban on flavored substances to heated tobacco products, in addition to conventional cigarettes and rolling tobacco, and also include updated product labeling requirements with warnings about the harmful effects of smoking and heated tobacco products.
It's important to note that these amendments do not pertain to vaping products containing liquid, focusing solely on heated tobacco devices with flavored cigarettes.
