Greek Foreign Minister to discuss Cyprus with UN chief Antonio Guterres among other issues in New York

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will meet today, Thursday, with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, to discuss the Cyprus problem, among other issues.

The meeting will take place in New York and, according to the Greek Foreign Ministry's announcement, discussions will focus on a number of international and regional issues, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Cyprus issue, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Western Balkans, as well as global issues, including climate change and human rights.

The Greek Foreign Minister will then attend an event during which he will officially presentat Greece's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2025-26 term.
