Clear skies and showers ahead for the long weekend getaway

A weekend of changing conditions and refreshing rainfalls

Newsroom / CNA

A weak low-pressure system is currently impacting the region, resulting in suspended dust particles in the atmosphere until Saturday.

This morning, anticipate the gradual increase of mid to high-level clouds, which may lead to isolated showers. However, as we move into the afternoon, the weather will predominantly clear up. Winds will predominantly blow from the northeast to southeast, ranging from moderate to strong, with some localized gusts reaching very strong levels, up to 6 Beaufort. As a result, the sea conditions will gradually transition from slight to moderately rough. Temperature-wise, inland areas will experience a rise, reaching around 33 degrees Celsius, while coastal regions will hover around 29 degrees Celsius. Higher mountainous areas will see temperatures around 24 degrees Celsius.

During the evening, expect mostly clear skies, occasionally accompanied by high-level clouds. Winds will initially come from the northeast to southeast, remaining light to moderate, at around 3 to 4 Beaufort. Later in the evening, winds will shift to predominantly southeast to southwest, maintaining the same intensity. The sea conditions will continue to gradually become a little rough. Temperature-wise, the inland areas will cool down to around 18 degrees Celsius, while coastal regions will see temperatures around 19 degrees Celsius. Higher mountainous areas will experience temperatures around 16 degrees Celsius.

As we approach Saturday, the weather is expected to remain mainly clear, with intermittent patches of clouds.

On Sunday and Monday, localized cloud cover will increase, potentially leading to isolated showers or thunderstorms, primarily affecting mountainous and inland regions during the midday and early afternoon hours.

Temperatures will gradually decrease until Sunday, falling below the average climatic values. However, no significant changes are anticipated on Monday.
