After yesterday's refreshing rains in parts of the country, things are heating up again!
Today’s forecast starts with mostly clear skies, but don’t let that fool you—clouds will roll into the west and north later, possibly delivering some surprise showers. As the afternoon unfolds, expect those clouds to stir up isolated showers and maybe even a few thunderstorms, especially in the mountains, interior, and eastern areas. And yes, hail could make a cameo during those storms. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, blowing at a breezy 3 to 4 Beaufort, but might kick up to a strong 5 Beaufort along the coast. The sea will start to get a bit choppy too. Expect temperatures to hit 34°C inland, 31°C on the west coast, around 33°C elsewhere along the coast, and a cooler 24°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight, things will clear up nicely, though the west and north will still see some cloud cover. Winds will calm down a bit, sticking to southwest to northwest at a light 3 Beaufort, and maybe a moderate 4 Beaufort here and there. The sea will remain slightly rough. Temps will dip to a comfy 20°C inland, 22°C along the coast, and a brisk 14°C up in the higher mountains.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, expect a mix of sun and clouds, with a chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms popping up in the afternoon—mainly in the mountains, interior, and east. And yes, temperatures will creep up, just tipping over the seasonal average. Keep your umbrellas handy, but don’t put away those sunglasses just yet!
