Cyprus celebrated an impressive showing at the European Judo Hopes tournament held in Bosnia, where the national delegation delivered strong performances and earned multiple top placements. Leading the way was a standout podium finish by one of Cyprus's team members.

At the heart of the team’s success was Stefanos Patourariou, who secured a silver medal, marking the top achievement for Cyprus at the event. His performance demonstrated exceptional skill, composure, and determination, as he battled through a competitive field to reach the final and claim a place on the podium.

While Patourariou’s silver medal was the headline result, Cyprus also saw several athletes finish just outside the podium positions, underlining the depth of talent within the squad. Giorgos Michailidis delivered a strong campaign to finish in 5th place, narrowly missing out on a medal. Similarly, Anastasios Anastasiou achieved a commendable 7th place, showing promise and competitiveness throughout his matches.

Further solid contributions came from Andreas Loizou, who secured 9th place, and Andreas Leonidou, who also impressed with a very good overall performance despite not reaching the final rankings.
