Newsroom
A weak high-pressure system is currently hanging out over the region, but don't get too comfortable — a relatively cold air mass is heading our way by Friday to keep things fresh.
Today:
Clouds are going to be the star of the show, with a mix of medium and high clouds popping in and out. Winds will play it cool from the southwest to northwest, starting off a bit indecisive at 3 Beaufort and later picking up to a moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will behave, staying calm to slightly rough — nothing too dramatic. Temperatures will hit a cozy 20°C inland, 22°C on the north coast, 21°C for the rest of the coastline, and a brisk 13°C up in the higher mountains.
Tonight:
Those high clouds aren't going anywhere just yet, and western areas might get a visit from some low clouds. Winds will continue their southwest-to-northwest shuffle at a mild 3 Beaufort, occasionally turning up the volume to 4 Beaufort in some areas. The sea will remain calm to slightly rough, though in the west and north, it might get a bit bumpy later. Temperatures will dip to 10°C inland, around 12°C on the south and east coasts, 13°C on the north coast, 14°C on the west coast, and a chilly 6°C in the mountains. Grab a sweater if you’re heading out!
Thursday:
More clouds will roll in, and there’s a chance for some isolated showers, especially in the northeast. The winds will pick up a bit — think of it as nature’s way of keeping us on our toes.
Friday:
The sun is making a comeback, but some clouds may try to crash the party in the afternoon, especially around the southern side of Troodos. You might want to keep an umbrella handy, just in case.
Saturday:
Good news! The weather is set to clear up, giving us a nice and sunny day.
Looking Ahead:
Temperatures are on a slow and steady decline through Saturday, hovering around or slightly below average for this time of year. Winter’s just letting us know it hasn’t forgotten about us!
