There was a grand opening on Monday for C2Nicosia, the first casino in the capital of the Republic of Cyprus located in the up and coming western part of the city.
C2Nicosia boasts a cozy gaming area with five tables and 20 slot machines, which is smaller than the C2Limassol with 33 tables and 242 slots.
The Nicosia is only a few months behind Limassol, where the first casino opened its doors in the southern town back in June, on a temporary basis, until the City of Dreams Mediterranean resort goes into operation in 2021.
Satellite locations in Nicosia, Paphos, Larnaca, and Famagusta will operate permanently under a license awarded to Melco Resorts & Entertainment as Melco-CNS Consortium.
Larnaca is reportedly up next, with a grand opening scheduled next week.
The Nicosia casino is located in Engomi, west Nicosia, where a number of other big ventures have recently taken place, including the grand opening of Nicosia Mall last month.
