A new home improvement store has opened in Lakatamia, which is expected to attract consumers who visit the new Nicosia Mall in the western part of town.
A group from Malta, Alf Mizzi and Sons, has taken over the empty lot of a former Ellinas DIY shop in Lakatamia, just a short distance from a highway exit, with Homemate opening its doors this week. Established in 1998, Homemate Co. Ltd is Malta’s largest Home Improvement Centre, aiming to provide value for money while also focusing on customer service.
The company is currently in search of a second location for a Homemate store, although the area was not immediately clear
A wide range of home improvement products will be available at Nicosia's Homemate, ranging from bathroom accessories to paints, coving, curtains and accessories, textiles, bedding, power tools, hand tools, and household appliances to a wide range of dining ware, linen, electronic goods, plastic ware, kitchen accessories, cleaning products, children’s products and various electronics, such as television sets and sound systems.
The company is currently in search of opening a second Homemate store, although the location was not immediately clear. The group is also taking part in a business venture with the Lanitis Group, according to media reports.
Ten days ago, the grand opening of Nicosia Mall in the area changed the scene in the western part of the capital, with 130,000 visits already taking place in just five days.
Shoppers from all over the area, especially Engomi, Agios Dhometios, Agios Andreas, and incorporated communities adjacent to Nicosia, all stand to benefit from easy access to the Mall through the Troodos roundabout.
Homemate expects to get some of that traffic as it is close by.
