The sunshine hasn't completely disappeared, but the clouds are getting more confident, temperatures are cooling down, and a low-pressure system is waiting in the wings to make things considerably more interesting from tomorrow.
Cloudy spells and mountain showers
Today will be intermittently cloudy, with isolated showers or a thunderstorm expected during the afternoon, mainly in the mountains and possibly inland.
So if you're heading up into the hills later, perhaps don't assume that blue skies will be sticking around for the whole day.
Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually becoming strong at 5 Beaufort along windward coasts.
The sea will be slightly rough.
Temperatures will reach around 30°C inland and on the southern and eastern coasts, 28°C on the western and northern coasts, and 19°C in the highest mountains.
Still warm, yes. But we're definitely getting closer to sweater weather territory.
Tonight, the island cools down properly
Locally increased cloud cover will appear at times, while winds become downslope and light.
The sea will generally be calm to slightly rough, although it will remain slightly rough locally along the western coast.
And temperatures will fall to around 17°C inland, 20°C on the coasts and just 11°C in the highest mountains.
Eleven degrees. In Cyprus. Somebody alert the jacket department.
Wednesday onwards, things get a little more interesting (but really, it's just weather; how interesting could it get?)
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will all bring intermittent cloud, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms expected, mainly after midday.
And because the weather wants to make a proper entrance, hail may occur during thunderstorms.
By Friday, the weather phenomena could become intense or prolonged, so the end of the week is looking considerably less calm than today.
Meanwhile, temperatures will gradually fall through Friday, dropping to levels below the average climatic values for this time of year.
So, Tuesday is giving us one last relatively warm day before the weather starts turning the autumn dial a little further.
The air conditioners may finally get a break. The mountains, meanwhile, appear to have booked themselves a starring role in this week's weather report.
