EY: Open call for applications for the Women Fit for Business program Cyprus

  • A scholarship program for unemployed and under-employed female university graduates under 40
  • A collaboration between AIPFE Cyprus - Women of Europe, EY Cyprus and the Cyprus Institute of Marketing (CIM)

AIPFE Cyprus-Women of Europe in collaboration with EY Cyprus and The Cyprus Institute of Marketing (CIM) will be launching the fourth round of the highly successful European initiative Women Fit for Business (WF4B) Cyprus in January 2023.

The WF4B initiative aspires to empower, motivate and connect 16 young, unemployed and under-employed female university graduates, under the age of 40 by providing them with the necessary hard and soft skills that will assist them in their search for employment.

Sixteen promising candidates will be selected through a competitive interview selection process, to embark on a 12-week course, which entails training, mentoring and networking. The program, which will run through January to May 2023, covers a wide range of topics, including personal profiling and skills assessment, job search skills, professional development workshops, empowerment through centered leadership, internships and more.

Commenting on this initiative, Myria Saparilla, Partner, Tax Services of EY Cyprus said: “EY is committed to creating a better working world. We are fulfilling this pledge through our everyday work with our clients, but also through our global CSR program, EY Ripples, which aims to positively impact the lives of one billion people by 2030, focusing, among others, on supporting the next generation by helping develop mindsets and skills to find and sustain meaningful work. The WF4B program does exactly that, and we are delighted to collaborate once again with AIPFE Cyprus and CIM on this meaningful initiative to help 16 young female graduates in Cyprus.”

‘It is with great pleasure that our Business School has decided to support AIPFE’s  WF4B program for yet another year,’ said Yangos Hadjiyannis, CEO of CIM. ‘It is an important initiative that aims to empower women young graduates to improve their employability skills and as a result to advance their career prospects. As Cyprus’ Leading Business School we endorse such initiatives that promote equality and enable young women to professionally excel,’ he added.

‘AIPFE is proud to launch its WF4B program for the fourth time, along with our collaborators, EY and CIM’, said AIPFE President, Despina Papadopoulou. ‘As all graduates of the previous three WF4B programs were so well equipped by high caliber trainers and mentors and entered or re-entered the job market, after completion of the programs, we look forward to give the opportunity to yet another group of women to get empowered and accomplish what they are looking for. AIPFE strongly believes that, given the chance, any woman can become strong and confident enough to trust herself and aim high,’ she added.

If you are interested in applying to this program, please send your CV and cover letter by 12/12/2022 to: info@aipfe.com
