In its third consecutive year, EU female-led foreign missions in Cyprus present a distinctive opportunity for women to work alongside a female diplomat for a day.
The initiative, occurring from March 4th to 11th, encourages women aged 18-35 living in Cyprus to actively engage in politics, current affairs, and international relations.
Organized by the Embassies of the Netherlands, France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, and the European Commission, the "Ambassador in Cyprus for a Day" program aims to foster gender equality awareness. Interested participants can apply by submitting a one-minute video explaining their motivation through the initiative's social media pages on Facebook.
The selected participants will spend a day working closely with a female Ambassador, gaining insights into diplomacy, international relations, and current affairs. The initiative seeks to address gender disparities in political representation, highlighting the need for increased female participation.
Submissions are open until February 25th, with selected participants announced on February 26th on the dedicated social media pages.
