M&M's has done it again! Just in time for candy season, the iconic brand has unveiled a new flavor that has everyone buzzing: Peanut Butter and Jelly! Yes, you read that right. The beloved childhood sandwich has now been transformed into a bite-sized candy, combining berry-flavored chocolate with a smooth peanut butter center. It’s the first flavor innovation from M&M’s since 2022, and it’s already generating a lot of excitement.
The idea behind this new treat is to give fans a sweet nostalgia hit by recreating the flavors of the classic PB&J sandwich, and by the looks of early reactions, they’ve nailed it. Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer of Mars Wrigley North America, says they wanted to "double down" on the fan-favorite Peanut Butter M&M’s—adding a twist that brings fruity sweetness to the mix.
Fans are thrilled, with one Instagram user commenting, "I've dreamt of this flavor for a long time. Dreams do come true!" Another added, "Yesss we need more PB&J products!" This isn’t M&M's first attempt at the fruity-peanut butter combo; back in 2009, they released Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M’s, but those disappeared by 2015. Fans of the original are delighted to see a similar taste making a comeback.
The new Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M’s will be available nationwide in the US and online starting in December. They’ll come in three sizes—Single, Share, and Sharing Size Stand Up Pouches—so you can enjoy them solo or spread the joy with friends. Looks like this holiday season just got a little sweeter!
