Twenty-five third-country nationals who had been residing illegally in Cyprus departed for their home countries on Tuesday as part of a well-coordinated joint operation aimed at the forced return of irregular migrants, as announced by the police.

According to a statement issued by the police, the total number of third-country nationals repatriated since the beginning of the year, through both voluntary and forced return procedures, now stands at 3,320.

The joint flight was organized by the Greek authorities in collaboration with the FRONTEX Agency and the Aliens and Migration Service, based at the Police Headquarters.
