A 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fraud investigation that includes allegations of property scams, forgery and the use of fake documents, police said Friday.
The suspect was taken into custody on Thursday, Aug. 28, under a court warrant and is being held while the investigation continues. He is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court today, where police will seek a remand order.
According to police, the case involves securing goods under false pretenses and fraudulent transactions involving real estate, in addition to forgery and circulating falsified documents.
The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is leading the probe.
