The investigations by the investigators into the brutal double murder that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, June 29 in a bar in Limassol, in the Ypsonas area, with victims 44-year-old Mario Onisiforou and 51-year-old Michalakis Michael, are in total progress. Regarding the case, the Prosecution Authorities had made two arrests of individuals aged 49 and 54.
The investigators are taking testimonies from various individuals to establish the motive, as it was revealed that the trigger for the violent incident is believed to have been a fight that occurred two weeks before the crime, involving the arrested suspect's brother and a 43-year-old friend of the victims.
In the police investigations into the double murder, the focus is on the differences the 43-year-old had with one of the two alleged perpetrators, with the possibility that drugs may be involved.
Simultaneously, the investigators are searching for evidence and the knives used by the alleged perpetrators to repeatedly stab their victims.
It is worth noting that during the incident, according to a testimony held by the authorities, one of the two suspects threatened the 43-year-old friend of the victims, shouting, "I will slaughter you!"
The two arrested individuals are expected to appear before the Limassol District Court tomorrow to renew their remand.
