Contractor in Paphos hospitalized after wife finds him unconscious at his workplace


A building contractor is in critical condition at Paphos General Hospital after his wife found him injured at the construction site.

According to police, a 63-year-old male contractor was working on a site when he later failed to show up at home Thursday evening. His wife, who got worried about the delay, went to look for him in the evening and found her husband unconscious on the job.

An ambulance rushed the man to the Emergency Room at Paphos General Hospital, where doctors on duty said he suffered internal bleeding in the brain.

The contractor remains in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition, while the time, duration, and conditions of the incident were not clarified.

CID Paphos and the town’s petty crime unit were said to be investigating.
