A gentle low-pressure system is making its way through the region, bringing a change in the weather, but nothing too dramatic.
For today, expect mostly increased cloud cover, especially in the mid and high levels of the sky. Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, at moderate to strong levels (4 to 5 Beaufort), and occasionally a bit more brisk along the windward coasts (up to 6 Beaufort). The sea may be a little choppy at times. Temperatures will climb to a comfortable 30°C inland, around 28°C along the southern and eastern coasts, 25°C on the western and northern coasts, and a cooler 21°C up in the mountains.
Tonight, things will calm down nicely with mostly clear skies. Winds will stay in the southwest to northwest range, light to moderate inland (3 to 4 Beaufort), and slightly stronger along the coast. The sea will remain a bit unsettled in places. Temperatures will dip to a refreshing 15°C inland, 17°C near the coast, and 9°C in the higher elevations, perfect sleeping weather.
As we head into Tuesday and Wednesday, expect a mix of sunshine and passing clouds. These may bring isolated showers or a thunderstorm or two, mainly in the mountains, inland areas, and the east during the afternoon. A bit of hail could tag along with the storms, but nothing out of the ordinary. On Thursday, we’ll see occasional cloudier patches that might drop a brief shower in the mountains after midday.
Temperatures will take a slight dip on Tuesday and remain steady on Wednesday, with a gentle rise expected by Thursday. Overall, it’s a mild and manageable week ahead, hovering close to average for this time of year.
So take a breath, grab that morning coffee, and ease into Monday. The weather’s just doing its thing and you’ve got this.
