Newsroom
A weak low-pressure system has shuffled into the area, dragging along some thin, high-level dust like it forgot to tidy up before showing up. The atmosphere, clearly in no rush to impress, is giving us a day of gentle indecision and mild theatrics.
Today:
The morning will start off feeling confident and clear, but by afternoon, expect the sky to change its mind. A few clouds will gather, slowly and dramatically, possibly squeezing out an isolated shower or two, mostly over the mountains, which never miss a chance to be the main characters. Winds will begin from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate at 3-4 Beaufort, before casually switching to south and southwest later on. The sea is feeling mellow; slight to locally slight-to-moderate, as if it’s trying to stay out of everyone’s business.
Temperatures will rise with enthusiasm: around 31°C inland (bring your shade instincts), 29°C along the coasts, and a pleasantly civilized 22°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight:
The sky plans a quieter performance. Mostly clear, with the moon still showing off after last night’s Beaver Moon, the last full moon before winter, named by early observers who noticed beavers hustling to prepare their lodges before the freeze. The atmosphere seems to have taken notes, keeping things calm and still. Winds will blow softly from northwest to northeast at about 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be content and calm to slight.
Friday (tomorrow):
A little mood swing ahead, partly cloudy at times, with local showers and a few isolated thunderstorms popping up over the mountains and inland in the afternoon. Think of it as the weather’s way of adding exclamation points to the week.
Weekend:
The skies are reclaiming their chill composure (figuratively speaking). Mostly clear overall, though the mountains may invite a few extra clouds on Saturday afternoon, just to stay interesting.
Temperature outlook:
A polite dip on Friday, still slightly above what’s “normal” for this time of year, then a gentle rise over the weekend, as if the weather decided it missed being warm after all.
