Larnaca is getting its moment in the international spotlight as the Irish travel series 'Téacs Taistil' films an episode in the city for its upcoming fourth season.

The crew is currently in town capturing scenes that showcase the region’s authentic charm, from water sports and wine tasting to traditional halloumi making, according to the Larnaca Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP).

The series, which airs on Irish-language channel TG4, is expected to broadcast the Larnaca episode in April 2026. It targets a younger, adventurous audience aged 20 to 35 and blends travel, culture, and fun with hands-on challenges for the show’s three hosts.

“This is our first time in Larnaca, and the experience has been truly exceptional,” said production assistant Chloe Tynan, praising the warm welcome and diversity of activities.

Larnaca is one of six international destinations chosen for the season, alongside Toronto, Chicago, Wisconsin, Rhodes and Bucharest.

ETAP coordinated closely with the production team to highlight the city and surrounding region. The filming includes direct involvement from locals, a key part of the collaboration. As part of a partnership between ETAP and UCLan Cyprus University, a media student from the university joined the production team on set.

The show’s presenters will soon be seen navigating Larnaca’s coastline, touring museums, sampling local wine, and diving into the area’s rich traditions, all while sharing their journey through active social media accounts that boost Larnaca’s visibility among young travelers.
