A yellow warning was issued on Monday afternoon by the Department of Meteorology for Tuesday.
According to the announcement, the maximum temperature inland is expected to rise to around 40 degrees.
The warning will be in effect from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm on Tuesday.

Seasonal low pressure affects the area.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will initially blow mainly southwest to northwest and gradually locally to northeast weak, 3 Beaufort and initially transient locally, mainly in the eastern half of the island, up to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 25 degrees inland, on the southeast and east coasts, around 23 on the west and north coasts, around 21 on the rest of the coasts and around 19 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow the weather will be mostly sunny. The winds will initially blow mainly northeast to southeast and on the west coast up to westerly on the weak side at 3 Beaufort, and from the afternoon will blow mainly southwest to northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough, however, later in the south and locally on the north and west coasts it will become a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 40 degrees in the interior, around 33 on the west and southwest coasts, around 36 on the rest of the coasts and around 31 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow night the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will initially blow southwest to northwest, light and locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually blowing mostly northwest to northeast weak at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the weather will be mostly sunny.
The temperature is not expected to change significantly until Friday and will remain above average climatic values.
