Cyprus issues travel advisory for Niger amid security concerns

Cypriot citizens urged to avoid non-essential travel, stay vigilant, and register on Connect2CY platform

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) issued a travel advisory on Wednesday, urging Cypriot citizens to refrain from non-essential travel to Niger, effective from August 1.

According to an MFA press release, this advice is based on the security situation in Niger. Cypriot citizens currently in the country are advised to closely monitor developments and information through international and local media. They should also avoid unnecessary movements and implement maximum security measures.

Additionally, Cypriot citizens abroad are encouraged to register on the Connect2CY (https://www.connect2cy.gov.cy/) online platform, if they so desire.
