Actor Kevin Spacey says he’s currently living out of suitcases, moving between hotels and Airbnbs, after losing his multi-million dollar Baltimore home to foreclosure. In a rare, candid interview with The Telegraph, the two-time Oscar winner described his financial situation as “not great” and said he has “literally no home,” stopping just short of calling himself homeless.
Spacey, 66, is spending time in Cyprus performing at a nightclub in Limassol, far from the Hollywood spotlight where he was once a major star. He has been largely shunned by Hollywood since 2017, when actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making a sexual advance decades earlier. While a civil jury sided with Spacey in that case, multiple allegations have effectively sidelined him from high-profile work ever since, including being fired from House of Cards.

Speaking from Cyprus, Spacey compared his situation to Hollywood’s historic blacklists, saying that one powerful ally could be enough to bring him back into the industry, similar to how actor Kirk Douglas helped blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo. Spacey expressed hope that a phone call from a top director like Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino could restore his career.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Spacey emphasized that he has never been found guilty or liable in any sexual assault cases. He was acquitted in a London criminal court in 2023, and a Massachusetts case against him was dropped in 2019. At his recent Cyprus show, fans appeared unbothered by the allegations, with one telling reporters, “He was acquitted! Isn’t that enough?”
Now, living a nomadic life and performing overseas, Spacey says he’s patiently biding his time, hoping for redemption and a chance to return to Hollywood’s stage.
