In a significant development, the initial phase of the photovoltaic park installation at Nicosia General Hospital, managed by the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY), is set to conclude on January 7, 2024. The subsequent phase is slated for completion in March, marking a key milestone in the hospital's flagship project.
As detailed in a press release from the Organisation for the Coordination and Development of Photovoltaics and Energy Conservation, the ongoing initiative includes the establishment of the photovoltaic park and the construction of covered parking spaces, aligning with the broader Strategic Plan of the Organisation.
Upon its full implementation, the photovoltaic park will boast a capacity of 1.3 MWp. The project, integral to the Recovery and Resilience Plan, carries a total cost of 1.8 million euros + VAT.
The endeavor underscores the OKYPY's commitment not only to delivering high-quality healthcare services universally but also to fostering environmental sustainability. By harnessing renewable energy sources, the Agency aims to make its operations more eco-friendly, contributing to a greener future.
