Police execute 173 warrants, collect €109,300

Nicosia police pursue diverse fine warrants

In a recent operation led by the Warrant Execution Unit of the Nicosia Police Directorate on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, a significant total of 173 fine warrants were executed, resulting in the collection of more than €109,300.

Since the start of the year, law enforcement agencies nationwide have executed 29,025 fine warrants, amassing a sum of €5,070,900 in collections. This figure reflects a diligent effort in upholding judicial mandates and ensuring accountability.

Comparatively, during the same period last year, 31,272 fine warrants were executed, yielding a collection of €4,908,276. While there's been a slight decrease in the number of warrants executed, the monetary collections have shown a positive trajectory, indicating effective enforcement strategies.

The executed warrants encompass a wide spectrum of debts, ranging from traffic and criminal offenses to social security and municipal liabilities, alongside obligations in alimony and private criminal cases. This comprehensive approach underscores the police's commitment to addressing diverse legal matters and maintaining public order.
