A seasonal low-pressure system is currently influencing the region, and it’s bringing the heat.
Today’s forecast:
Expect mostly sunny skies across the area, although some extra clouds might build up over the mountains during the afternoon. Winds will mainly blow from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. By afternoon, they’ll pick up along wind-facing coastlines, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort, and could even hit 5 to 6 Beaufort in parts of the southeastern coast. The sea will be a bit choppy.
Temperatures are set to climb, peaking at a scorching 37°C inland. Along the western coast, it’ll be a little cooler at 32°C, while the rest of the coastline will see highs around 35°C. Up in the mountains, expect a more moderate 28°C.
Tonight’s outlook:
Skies will stay mostly clear, though some low clouds might drift into coastal areas late at night. Winds will shift slightly, blowing from the northwest to northeast at a light 3 Beaufort. The sea will gradually settle down, becoming calm to slightly choppy. Overnight temperatures will drop to about 23°C inland and along the coast, and around 18°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead (Wednesday – Friday):
The next few days will continue the trend of mostly clear skies, though you might notice a few clouds popping up during the afternoon, especially over higher ground. On Wednesday, those clouds could even bring a brief, isolated shower in the mountains.
Temperatures will edge up a bit on Wednesday, climbing slightly above seasonal norms. A small dip is expected on Thursday, with Friday holding steady.
