Sun's back, but storms still lurking!

A mostly clear day with a side of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the mountains and inland areas.

It seems Mother Nature has her own sense of humor. Just as we were getting used to those cooling showers and a brief respite from the heat, she decided to turn up the thermostat once more. But hey, let's take it in stride—after all, a little sunshine never hurt anyone!

Today, the weather will be mainly clear, but don’t let that fool you. As the afternoon rolls in, expect some locally increased cloud cover that might bring a few surprises—isolated showers or thunderstorms, particularly in the mountains and the interior. And for those thrill-seekers, there's even a chance of hail in those thunderstorms. Winds will mostly blow from the southwest to northwest, starting off light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, but could pick up to strong, especially in the headlands, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough to choppy in places. Temperatures will climb to around 36°C inland, 31°C on the west coast, 33°C along the rest of the coast, and a cooler 25°C in the higher mountains.

As night falls, the skies will clear up, with only a few low clouds hanging around here and there. Winds will shift slightly from southwest to northwest, remaining light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, eventually becoming variable light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will calm down, turning smooth to slightly rough. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 21°C inland, 24°C on the coast, and a cool 18°C in the mountains.

Looking ahead to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the pattern remains much the same: mostly clear skies with occasional clouds that could lead to isolated showers or thunderstorms, particularly in the mountains and interior during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will continue to rise gradually, moving above the seasonal average.

So, whether you're sunbathing, storm-watching, or doing a rain dance to keep things cool, enjoy the mix that the weather gods have in store!
