Tuesday begins on a bright and easy note, with mostly clear skies greeting the island. But don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a crystal-clear kind of day. A fine layer of dust is slipping into the atmosphere, softening the sunshine and giving the horizon that familiar hazy glow.
As the day goes on, clouds at higher levels will begin to drift in, adding texture rather than trouble. Winds stay fairly relaxed, moving between northeast and southeast at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally a touch stronger along the coasts. The sea remains calm to slightly rough; nothing dramatic, just a gentle reminder that we’re in a season of change.
Temperatures are on the rise, reaching around 24°C inland, 23°C along eastern and southeastern shores, about 21°C elsewhere on the coast, and 16°C in the mountains. In other words: warm enough to feel like spring is leaning toward summer.
Tonight, clouds increase at higher levels, maintaining that soft, filtered sky. Winds ease back to light breezes, and the sea settles into a calm-to-slight state.
Wednesday and Thursday continue the warming trend, with temperatures climbing above what’s typical for this time of year. Expect a mix of sunshine and high cloud, with that dusty veil lingering. Sunsets may look impressive, even if the air feels a little heavy.
By Friday, however, the mood shifts. A disturbance approaching from the west brings more cloud and with it, the chance of isolated showers and even a rumble of thunder in places. Winds will also pick up, especially along the coast, adding a bit more movement to the end of the week.
In short: A warm, slightly hazy midweek stretch that feels almost summery, before a modest reset arrives just in time for Friday.
