Patients in the Troodos region now have access to advanced diagnostic imaging following the installation of a new CT scanner at Troodos Hospital, which entered service on Friday, 10 July.
The hospital has been equipped with a Siemens 62-slice CT scanner, providing doctors with improved imaging technology to support quicker diagnoses and more efficient patient care. The new equipment is expected to benefit both local residents and visitors requiring medical treatment in the mountain area.
Hospital Director Marinos Lemesios thanked Health Minister Michael Damianos, the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY), Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities Charalambos Christofinas, and everyone involved in bringing the project to completion.

Troodos Hospital has continued to expand its healthcare services in recent years. Its Accident and Emergency Department underwent a full renovation in 2022, and the facility also includes a Clinical Laboratory and a Radiology Department.
The hospital currently has 40 beds and is staffed by 17 doctors, 46 nurses and 11 allied health professionals.
