Yesterday evening, the Police conducted a targeted operation in the Paphos province with a specific focus on the communities of Chloraka, Empa, and Tremithousa. During this operation, a total of 8 arrests were made for various criminal and traffic offenses.

According to the spokesperson for the Paphos Police and the responsible person from the Paphos Traffic Enforcement Unit, Michalis Nikolaou, a considerable number of vehicles and individuals were stopped, investigated, and checked as part of the operation. A total of 20 traffic complaints were recorded, with 3 of them related to drivers testing positive for narcotics. In total, 8 individuals were arrested for committing different criminal and traffic offenses. Additionally, 6 cars and a high-displacement motorcycle were seized.

The operation was carried out by members of the Paphos and Larnaca Police, with assistance from the Motorized Motorcycle and Bicycle Unit, the Nicosia Traffic Police, the Police Headquarters, as well as members from the Port and Maritime Police, the Forest Department, and the Technology Development Unit of the Police Headquarters. The Paphos Police had a Crisis Center coordinating the entire operation.
