US President Joe Biden is in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, according to the BBC and Ukrainian media.
This is his first visit to Ukraine since the Russian invasion almost a year ago.
Before his surprise visit to Kyiv, Joe Biden had traveled to neighboring Poland to meet with its president Andrei Duda.
There had been speculation earlier that an important person would arrive in the Ukrainian capital.
