Savvas Kyriakou, a Municipal Councilor from Dromolaxia, has filed a complaint with authorities alleging an attack against him and damage to his vehicle. Kyriakou, who is vying for reelection in the upcoming June elections, stated, "They broke the window of my car, causing significant damage. Considering nothing was stolen from the vehicle, it's obvious the damage is targeted at me or linked to my role as a Municipal Councilor of Dromolaxia - Menou of DISY, and as a candidate for the upcoming elections."

Furthermore, Kyriakou reported having provided extensive testimony to the police, noting that investigations by authorities are "pointing in a specific direction."

According to information obtained by 24News, Kyriakou claimed that following the attack on his vehicle, he engaged in a heated altercation with the current Mayor of Dromolaxia at a particular location, resulting in an assault against him. Meanwhile, the Mayor of Dromolaxia is currently providing testimony to the police and intends to file his own complaint against Kyriakou for an attack following their intense altercation at the said location.

In a statement, Kyriakou expressed his regret over the incident, stating, "I express my regret for yesterday's incident of aggression and violence against me, with malicious damage to my vehicle parked at the Dromolaxia stadium where our municipality's Easter Monday celebration was held."

He continued, "Specifically, they broke the window of my car, causing significant damage. Considering nothing was stolen from the vehicle, it's obvious the damage is targeted at me or linked to my role as a Municipal Councilor of Dromolaxia - Menou of DISY, and as a candidate for the upcoming elections."

"I have provided lengthy testimony to the police, who are conducting an investigation into the matter, an investigation that, based on the existing evidence, is pointing in a specific direction."

"I believe that the police will act swiftly to clarify the case, which is imperative during these times to prevent acts and behaviors that create a toxic atmosphere and are detrimental to society and democracy in the run-up to an election period."
