Well folks, brace yourselves: the thermometer decided to pull a dramatic stunt, plummeting all the way to a chilly 39°C inland. Yes, only in Cyprus can we call that a “drop.”
After some morning fog and sulky clouds clear out, the sky will mostly behave itself. Winds will start out as a gentle breeze from the southeast (3 Beaufort, nothing to write home about), then shift around like a tourist looking for the best beach, ending up southwest to northwest. Expect them to beef up along the coasts, hitting 4–5 Beaufort, and in the southwest they might even flex at 6 Beaufort. Seas will range from “meh, slightly rough” to “hold onto your beach hat” rough later in the day.
Temperature check:
- Inland: a toasty 39°C (don’t forget to hydrate).
- Eastern, southern, northern coasts: a breezy 34°C.
- Western coast: a “cool” 31°C.
- Higher mountains: a refreshing 32°C, so bring your winter coat (just kidding).
Tonight’s plot twist: Low clouds will creep back in, mostly in the west and north, with some foggy sneak attacks down south and east before sunrise. Winds will calm down to a friendly 3 Beaufort, and seas will chill out too. Temperatures will dip to 24°C inland/coasts and 22°C in the mountains.
Coming Attractions (Wed–Fri): Mostly clear skies with occasional clouds photobombing your plans. Temps will slide a bit by Thursday and stay “seasonably average” by Friday, whatever that means when you live on an island where 39°C counts as “cooler.”
