Newsroom
Good morning, everyone. Let's take a look at today's weather forecast.
We're currently under the influence of weak low-pressure and hot air masses, resulting in the presence of dust in the atmosphere. Dust concentrations are expected to be elevated at times.
For today, expect to see increased mid to high clouds across the area. Winds will predominantly be from the northwest, ranging from light to moderate, around 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale. However, in some areas, winds may pick up locally to moderate to strong, reaching 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale. As a result, the sea will be a bit choppy, with conditions ranging from a little choppy to rough along the foreshore.
Temperature-wise, we're looking at highs of around 30 degrees Celsius in the interior and along the south and east coasts. In the west and north coasts, temperatures will be slightly cooler, hovering around 28 degrees Celsius. And up in the higher mountains, temperatures will be cooler still, with highs around 21 degrees Celsius.
Moving on to tonight's outlook, we can expect increasing mid to high clouds once again. Winds will shift mainly from the northwest to the northeast, remaining light overall, occasionally picking up locally to moderate, around 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale. The sea will continue to be a little rough, with initial rough conditions expected in the west. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 19 degrees Celsius inland and along the coast, while in the higher mountains, temperatures will dip to around 16 degrees Celsius.
Looking ahead to the weekend and into Monday, we can anticipate a continuation of increasing medium to high clouds. Although isolated light showers may occur, particularly in the highlands, they are not expected to be widespread.
Temperatures will gradually rise slightly over the weekend and into Monday, remaining above average for this time of year.
That's all for today's weather update. Stay tuned for further updates, and have a great day ahead!
