British Airways passengers at Heathrow Airport received an unpleasant surprise as they waited for their luggage after a flight from Cyprus.
At least 100 boxes of seafood were seen falling onto the luggage carousel at the airport's Terminal 5 on Monday night, leaving travelers "confused" as to where their belongings had gone.
"It was the strangest thing to see boxes of sea bream instead of luggage," said one woman who traveled on the flight.
"We thought our luggage was in the second wave of deliveries, but it was a continuous wave of fish boxes," said other outraged passengers, who were eventually assured they would be reimbursed after returning home empty-handed.
The airline apologized, claiming that most passengers had received their luggage properly.
