Man seriously injured after diving from veranda and missing pool

55-year-old falls three meters in Peyia accident, now in ICU. Investigation underway.

A 55-year-old man suffered serious injuries on Thursday evening, September 19, after a fall at a rented house in Peyia.

Police reports indicate that the man was with a group of people at the house when they began diving into the pool from the veranda. At some point, the man slipped and fell from a height of about three meters, landing on the pavement.

He was quickly taken by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where his condition is being described as serious. He has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
