A 63-year-old man wanted in connection with the "Metamax" pyramid scam has surrendered to authorities and is currently under interrogation, according to police sources.
The scam involved investors registering on a special platform and funding their accounts with cryptocurrencies after receiving a password. Participants were promised bonuses for recruiting others into the scheme. The investors discovered the company had shut down and their funds were inaccessible, prompting them to report the matter to the police.
Two other individuals, aged 48 and 54, are already in custody regarding the same case. Both claim they were also victims of the scheme.
Police are actively investigating the case.
