Residents in several areas of Nicosia province experienced a disruption in their electricity supply on Wednesday morning, January 31st.
According to the Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC), the affected areas include Pano Deftera, Anthoupoli, Anthoupoli Refugee Settlement, and parts of the Agios Dimitrios area in Strovolos.
The power outage, which occurred unexpectedly, left residents without electricity for several hours. The Cyprus Electricity Authority (ΑΗΚ) swiftly responded to the situation, working to restore power to the affected areas.
Officials estimate that electricity will be restored by around 08:00 local time, providing relief to residents who have been inconvenienced by the outage.
The cause of the power disruption remains under investigation by authorities. In the meantime, residents are advised to conserve energy and take necessary precautions until the issue is fully resolved.
