Temperature to climb above average

Week starts off with clear skies, hot weather and elevated dust levels by midweek

A warm front and a high pressure system and are affecting areas over Cyprus, with high clouds still visible and temperatures climbing back up again.

Monday skies will be mostly clear with high clouds expected on and off later in the afternoon. Maximum high temperatures will reach 35° Celsius inland, around 30 in the eastern and southern parts of the island, 29 in the north and out west, while it be 27 up in the mountains.

Evening skies will be mostly clear with lows dropping down to 16 degrees inland, around 18 in the south and east, 17 in the north and west, while it will 14 degrees up in the mountains.

Hot weather by mid-week

Tuesday weather will be mostly clear with temperatures marking the beginning of a temperature climb above normal averages for this time of the year.

Weather on Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly clear as hot weather sets in under high clouds and possible elevated dust levels in the atmosphere.

Temperatures are expected to rise even further by mid week.
