Today’s weather will start mostly clear after the dissipation of local low clouds. However, during midday and afternoon, clouds are expected to develop, leading to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the mountains, interior areas, and the northern regions. Some storms could bring hail.
Winds will predominantly be from the southwest to northwest, beginning as light at 3 Beaufort and increasing to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the afternoon, winds may reach up to strong, 5 Beaufort, along the south coast. Seas will generally be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures are forecast to rise to around 38 degrees Celsius inland, about 33 degrees along the coast, and approximately 28 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, there will be increased low cloud cover. Winds will shift to mainly northwest to north, remaining light at 2 to 3 Beaufort, with the sea conditions staying calm to slightly rough. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to around 22 degrees Celsius inland and on the northern coasts, about 23 degrees along the rest of the coastlines, and around 17 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Tuesday, locally increased clouds could bring isolated showers and thunderstorms, primarily over the highlands and the eastern half of the island.
Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be mostly clear, with some local cloud buildup in the mountains during the afternoon. Temperatures will decrease slightly on Tuesday but will remain near average climatic values through Thursday.
