A seasonal low-pressure system is keeping things interesting, while an unstable air mass plans its big reveal on Tuesday. Translation: sunshine for most, but don’t get too comfortable.
Today: The morning looks friendly enough, but by midday and into the afternoon, clouds will pop up over the mountains and inland areas like uninvited plus-ones. Some of them may come with showers, or even a quick thunderstorm if they’re feeling dramatic. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, mild at first (3-4 Beaufort), but along the southeastern coast this afternoon, expect them to flex up to 4-5 Beaufort. The sea will manage a polite “slightly rough.” Temperatures: 34°C inland, 31°C along the coasts, and a cooler 26°C up in the highest mountains.
Tonight: Skies will mostly behave, though local cloud cover might linger here and there. Winds stay southwest to northwest, light at 3 Beaufort, with the sea still on the slightly rough side. Temperatures will dip to 20°C inland, around 22°C on the coasts, and a brisk 13°C up in the mountain tops.
Tuesday: The unstable air mass makes its entrance. Expect extra cloud cover by midday, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms breaking out in the mountains and some inland areas.
Wednesday: Déjà vu with a twist; afternoon cloud build-up could again spark isolated showers or a thunderstorm, mainly over the mountains.
Thursday: The atmosphere finally takes a breather, leaving things mostly clear.
Temperatures: Tuesday stays steady, close to seasonal averages. A gentle climb follows on Wednesday and Thursday, because summer can’t resist turning the dial back up.
