Showers were observed in multiple areas of the island today (19/06). The Cyprus Meteorological Service has reported that the region is experiencing the influence of weak low pressure, leading to an afternoon characterized by partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions, accompanied by isolated showers, especially in the mountains and eastern portions of the island. In mountainous and inland areas, there is a chance of encountering isolated, short-lived thunderstorms.

According to the meteorological service's forecast:

Tonight, the weather will gradually clear up, although some areas in the west and along the northern coast may experience occasional low clouds. The winds will be initially light to moderate, ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort, from southwest to northwest direction, eventually becoming light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly choppy but will progressively calm down toward the south and east. Temperatures will drop to approximately 18 degrees Celsius inland, around 20 degrees Celsius on the coast, and around 12 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow, the weather will start off mostly clear, with some localized low cloud cover expected in the west and along the northern coast. However, as the day progresses, clouds will increase in these areas, leading to isolated showers, primarily in the highlands. Winds will mainly come from the southwest to northwest, initially light at 3 Beaufort and later becoming moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. By the afternoon, the winds will gradually strengthen to a moderate level at 4 Beaufort, reaching strong at 5 Beaufort along the south and east coasts. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 33 degrees Celsius inland, approximately 29 degrees Celsius in the north, southeast, and east coasts, about 28 degrees Celsius on the rest of the coast, and 22 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains.

From Wednesday to Friday, the weather is expected to be mostly clear, but some areas may experience increasing clouds during the midday hours and beyond, which could result in isolated rain in the mountains.

Temperatures throughout Friday are projected to gradually increase and reach levels near or slightly above the average for this season.
