If you’re looking for a night out that does more than fill your calendar, one that actually helps change children’s lives, mark December 12 on your diary. The Shriners Hospitals for Children are hosting a charity dinner in Nicosia, blending good food, good company, and a whole lot of heart.
The event kicks off at 8:30 p.m. at the Cleopatra Hotel, with tickets set at €50 per person and open to anyone who wants to support a cause that genuinely matters. And yes, you’re encouraged to bring friends, family, and anyone who’s ever said, “I wish I could help.”
Guests will have the chance to meet the people who make the Shriners mission possible: the doctors, nurses, medical staff, and volunteers who spend their days helping children take their first steps, recover from life-changing injuries, or simply smile again.
Organizers say the evening isn’t just about raising funds; it’s about connecting the community with the work happening behind the scenes, the small miracles that rarely make headlines.
One of the highlights this year is “The Silent Messenger,” a striking piece by artist Pete Lara. The artwork pays tribute to a guiding belief embraced by the Shriners: “No man is so tall as when he stoops to help a child.” It’s a message they hope will resonate well beyond the event hall.
Anyone wishing to attend is asked to RSVP by December 9, either via email at info@shrinerscyprus.org, by calling +357 96 671 750, or through the online link provided by organizers.
Shriners Cyprus is also encouraging the public to spread the word through social media, tagging the event with #ShrinersHospitals, #LoveToTheRescue, and other community-focused hashtags.
For the Shriners, it’s simple: every ticket sold helps a child get the care they need. Every attendee becomes part of the rescue. And every act of kindness adds up.
It’s dinner with a purpose, and everyone’s invited.
