Cyprus' new armoured vehicle in action

The first shot of the Serbian-made 155 mm self-propelled howitzer weapon system dubbed Nora Alexander TGS was fired today

The first shots of the second squadron armoured vehicles dubbed Nora Alexander TGS were fired on Thursday at the Kiti shooting range in the presence of Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides, the Commander of the National Guard Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis and the Ambassador of Serbia to Cyprus Marko Blagojevic.

The Nora Alexander TGS, also known as a Nora B-52, is a Serbian-made 155 mm self-propelled howitzer weapon system, which falls under Cyprus’ armed forces modernization strategy.

After the firing of the first shot, the Defense Minister warmly congratulated the National Guard staff for the excellent training provided, noting that Cyprus is continuing efforts to upgrade its armed forces along the lines of modern needs.
