President Nikos Christodoulides will meet with the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar in New York on October 15, Deputy Government Spokesperson Yiannis Antoniou told CNA on Thursday morning.
He noted that it has not yet been clarified whether it will be a dinner or a social meeting.
He added that the President will first go to London on October 14, where he will have a meeting with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer, the first since the latter's election, and then depart for New York.
From there he will go to Brussels for the European Council meeting on 17 and 18 October, where he will also brief European leaders on the New York meeting, he further said.
According to Antoniou, the President of the Republic is also expected to convene the National Council in the coming days.
