Four suspects have been arrested at Paphos airport on credit card fraud charges, after customs officers found stolen as well as possibly fake credit cards in their luggage.

According to police, four Estonian nationals, two 32-year-olds and two others aged 25 and 31, arrived at Paphos International Airport on Thursday night and went through immigration inspection.

An Interpol alert had been issued prior to their arrival and officers found 268 credit cards in their possession, believed to be fake or invalid while 16 other valid credit cards appeared to belong to other people.

All four suspects were arrested after midnight on conspiracy to commit a crime and forgery charges. They were expected to appear before a judge on Friday.
