We’ve officially entered the weak high pressure phase, which sounds fancy but mostly means the weather is trying to be on its best behavior while dealing with a lingering cold air mass. Today is going to look gorgeous and mostly clear, right up until the afternoon, when the clouds decide to gather for a quick meeting. They might drop an isolated shower on the lowlands or some light snow in the mountains just to remind us it's still February.
The north wind is still lingering, blowing at a moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, but some spots will feel a much punchier 5 Beaufort chill. If you’re heading out, 13°C inland and 15°C on the coast might sound okay, but that 2°C in the mountains is no joke. The frost is sticking around like an uninvited guest.
Tonight, the sky stays mostly clear, though a few clouds might drift through to keep things interesting. The wind will finally calm down to a gentle 3 Beaufort, and the sea will follow suit, settling into a slightly rough rhythm. It's the perfect night to stay in and let the heater do the heavy lifting.
As for your weekend plans, Saturday and Sunday are playing a bit of a copy-paste game. We’ll get plenty of sun, followed by those pesky afternoon clouds and a chance of light mountain snow or stray raindrops. The good news? We are officially on an upward trend. Temperatures will gradually climb through Monday, finally creeping back toward the averages we actually recognize.
